Mapala in Yogyakarta AMIKOM STMIK named is MAYAPALA. Organization is one of nature lovers who are part of the Student Activity Unit (UKM), which is ruled by the Yogyakarta AMIKOM STMIK. MAYAPALA formed on the day of the week on December 4, 1994 at 10:00 am, at the peak of the mountain Lawu Hargo Dalem. The formation of SME MAYAPALA as indicated by embedding slayer MAYAPALA members. MAYAPALA as container development interests and talents engaged in the experience of using the platform ideal rights kepecinta berasaskan Pancasila and the Constitution of 1945 as a constitutional basis. MAYAPALA also grounded in the operational Tri Dharma College Code of Conduct and Nature Lovers. Until October 2011 the number of members who are registered as permanent members MAYAPALA totaling 220 people, from 1994 until 2010.MJS (Mayapala Jungle Schoo) l is an activity organized by MAYAPALA. These activities are
conducted in order to gain new members and with the function to nurture prospective members into the human soul experiences kepencinta, scientifically minded and concerned about the environment, because regeneration is one of the requirements of the organization itself. As the changing times and the dynamic nature of the organization or are constantly evolving, it also needed new generations to run the organization are adapted to the changing times.
In the MJS is divided into two stages, namely the material and practice field space. The first phase of the material space, namely the provision of material by the speaker (mentor), are generally provided by the members of the incoming MAYAPALA first. Space materials is often done on campus. The material provided is the basic material to be used or applied in the practice field. Some of the material is material rafting (rafting), rock climbing (rock climbing), mountenering (land navigation), survival (shelter, botany and zoology, snakes, etc.), travel management, management of packing, and the Search And Rescue (SAR).Then the second phase of fieldwork, the application of these materials by MJS students who have been given by the mentors in the matter of space.
